Language models produce sentences of a similar length, hedge nearly every claim, open paragraphs with the same handful of connectives, and prefer an abstract noun where a plain verb would do. Individually none of these is wrong. Stacked across four hundred words they produce a rhythm that reads as machine-made.
The humanizer works on that rhythm. It varies sentence length so short sentences land next to long ones, cuts hedging where the claim can simply be stated, replaces stock transitions with ordinary ones, and turns nominalisations back into verbs — "provides an explanation of" becomes "explains". The tone setting changes how far it pushes each of these, and the reading-level setting controls vocabulary and clause depth.
It earns its place on a draft you wrote or are entitled to edit and that reads stiffly: a first pass that came out flat, an email that sounds like a policy document, a section translated from another language.
